How To Make Better Decisions By Asking The Best Question Ever

Regrets, we all have them.  Can you think of someone you wish you hadn’t met? An emotion you wish you’d have controlled? A job you would rather not have taken? A piece of cake, you should have left on the buffet table? Really, regrets are all around us. Some with bigger consequences than others.

Just so you don’t feel alone in any of your regrets, here are some statistics.

Personal fitness: 36% are obese, 33% overweight

Personal finance: 76% are living paycheck to paycheck

Personal relationships: 50% of all marriages end in divorce

The trouble is we only know how big some decisions are in the rearview mirror. In the moment we lack experience, focus, or discernment to really understand the consequences of our decisions. This lack of understanding leads to regrets.

How can we be equipped to make better decisions before we face them? What if there was a question that would clarify the best option for ninety percent of the decisions we have to make in life? A question that answers just about everything?

God inspired the apostle Paul to record words of wisdom that are as true today, as the day they were written!

Be very careful then how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

Ephesians 5:15

Even if you don’t believe in God, The Best Question Ever by Andy Stanley applies this Biblical truth, to ask a question that can act as a filter on all your decision-making. It’s a four-part question that help’s you make better decisions.

The Best Question Ever brings clarity to decisions involving fitness, finances, and career – even your love life! It’s easy to remember once you’ve read the book, or watched the teaching series it came from. The best part about Andy’s messages is that they are so memorable. Repetition trains you to remember this life changing question. If you can remember it, you can apply it. This is a question I use regularly and the principle is simple yet profound.

Everyone can make better decisions by asking The Best Question Ever. I’ve given this resource away to many people.  It’s unanimous! Our greatest regrets could have been avoided if we’d been asking this question. Learn to use this time-tested truth has immediate application for your life.
